Ohio Brass has expanded its line of substation arresters with two new families of arresters, EVP and MVN.Â The station class EVP line follows over 20 successful years of history in polymer solid-core arrester design.Â Keeping the patented ESPTM silicone alloy weathershed material with improvements in the design and sealing system, the EVP is the newest generation of quality surge arresters in the Ohio Brass line.
The MVN family is the next generation of porcelain housed station class arresters.Â Offering high-creep housings and reduced weight designs, the MVN continues the Ohio Brass legacy with over 30 years experience in MOV porcelain arresters.Â Our porcelain arresters are suitable for the toughest environments with high strength and contamination resistance.
In addition to our new arrester lines, we continue to offer our intermediate and station class arresters (Type PVI-LP, SVN, and VL).
Since 1988, PROTECTA*LITE® systems have reduced interruptions at system voltages from 2.4 to 400 kV. Higher voltage PROTECTA*LITE® systems are available.
