Hubbell Power Systems Acquires Fabrica De Pecas Electricas Delmar

During July 2005 Hubbell Power Systems Incorporated, (HPS) headquartered in South Carolina, USA, acquired ownership of Fabrica De Pecas Electricas Delmar, through its subsidiary Hubbell Do Brazil. Delmar is now part of Hubbell Power Systems which serves utility markets worldwide. HPS brands include Anderson™, Chance®, Fargo®, Hubbell® and Ohio Brass®. Delmar is a leading manufacturer in Brazil and Latin America and recognized for its quality products, excellent service and the dedication and competence of its employees and sales force. Delmar manufactures a large family of lightning arresters, cutouts, fuse links, switches and related products. The acquisition by Hubbell Power Systems allows Delmar to continue to expand its presence in the region by leveraging technology, product design and manufacturing excellence that is prevalent throughout Hubbell Power Systems. Brazil and Latin America are very important markets in the world economy and establishing a strong presence in Brazil is an important initiative of HPS. Delmar's products will positively compliment the existing Hubbell Power Systems product offering which can supply 90% of the components needed on a steel transmission tower and 75% of those used for construction and maintenance on a distribution pole.
