Hubbell Storm Response to Hurricane Irene
Hubbell Power Systems responded decisively in August as Hurricane Irene approached, then slammed, into the eastern seaboard of the United States. The 370,000 sq. ft., state-of-the-art, Hubbell Distribution Warehouse in Centralia, MO as well as various HPS plant locations sprang into action with an aggressive shipment schedule to support utilities and distributors during the recovery. Products shipped included: 750,486 pole line hardware and connector items; 128,459 fuse links; 15,882 insulators; 12,901 anchors; 4,870 cutouts; 7,908 fiberglass construction products; 3,821 arresters; 2,658 tools and 553 switches.
Throughout the emergency, Hubbell remained geared to getting products where and when needed to support customers.
