Substations are a large capital investment
in power quality. Ohio Brass DynaVar® surge
arresters are designed to provide protection for
this investment which in turn enhances power quality.
Ohio Brass PVN and PVI polymer-housed arresters come
in a variety of mounting configurations and ratings.
The PVI family is an intermediate-class arrester
family for applications through 138kV. The substation
class PVN family is used through 230kV and provides
greater discharge capacity than the PVI family.
The SVL and SVN line of silicon-based
arresters are available when a polymer material is
desired and a greater mechanical strength is required.
Use our SVL and SVN arresters through 345kV.
We also offer porcelain-housed VLA,
VL and VN arresters for a full line of porcelain
substation arresters.
 Ohio Brass DynaVar arresters utilize
the latest metal-oxide varistor (MOV) technology
manufactured in our Wadsworth, OH facility. These
arresters meet or exceed all requirements of ANSI/IEEE
C62.11 and can be selected to match a range of contamination
and energy requirements.
